2010 Surrey Olympic Skeet Championship NCSC Bisley Sunday 25th July The Surrey Olympic Skeet Championship was held at the National Clay Shooting Centre on 25 July.Ten Surrey members turned out on what became a perfect day for shooting. Both David Dale and Allen Warren, shooting alongside each other in squad three, started strongly with perfect 25s. Allen followed this with a second clear round to go 50 straight, while David uncharacteristically dropped both low birds on station five. Rounds three and four provided David with a brace of 24s, and Allen shooting a couple of 23s saw the pair tied on 96. A sudden death shoot-off saw Allen blink first, opening the door for David to close out the Surrey County Olympic Skeet title.Elsewhere Surrey Junior Tom Skinner was shooting consistently to take the Junior title and third place overall with an excellent and well-constructed 92. Congratulations to this young man.Pip Watson was inspired by the shooting of her squad-mates David and Allen and produced a personal best of 82 to top the Ladies and was all smiles with her four scores in the twenties. Particular thanks to David for looking after those less experienced OS shooters in a technically demanding discipline.
