2009 Surrey FITASC Sporting Championship

Southdown SGC Friday 11th Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th August 2009

The Surrey FITASC Championship was held between 11-13 September at Southdown. As usual, Dave Peckham set a tough but fair course, with the Valley layout the biggest test of shooter's mettle. A good turnout of 19 Surrey shooters included some new faces to FITASC-hopefully we will see you back for more! Many found the layouts shot harder than first impressions suggested, with Yorkshire's finest export Tom Hicks looking likely to retain the title he won last year after setting the pace with 79. Martin Rudling came within a whisker on 78, but in the end both were pipped to the post by Ben Davies on 81, with Tom taking the veteran title, and Scott Chapman winning the junior title.
