2009 Surrey Side By Side Championship

Loseley Park Sunday 27th September

The Surrey Side by Side Championship was held at Loseley Park on 27 September, as part of the Surrey Country Fair and Ploughing Match. Organised by the Guildford Gun Club, alongside a fifty-bird sporting charity shoot, a total of 12 Surrey shooters, plus 26 other non-county competitors, enjoyed the competition and the sunny weather. Congratulations to Alf Slade who won the county title with 39ex50, and also to Chris Woods who won the Webley and Scott shield for highest non-Surrey CPSA side-by-side shooter.

Guildford Gun Club also organised two have-a-go stands, which were both busy throughout the day, hopefully bringing some new members into our sport, and the lucky dip run by Doug Millard raised £94.
