2010 Surrey All Round Championship

Southdown SGC Sunday 19th September  

 Southdown Gun Club again played host for the Surrey All Round Championships, held on 19 September. The ground had pulled out all the stops to have new DTL and ABT layouts ready as part of ongoing development works, so it was disappointing that only seven Surrey shooters supported the event.Tony Burt was looking to claim another Surrey trophy as he shot solidly throughout the Sporting, ABY, DTL and ESK layouts to finish on 79, a respectable score in the blustery conditions. Martin Rudling ran him close with 78, but Jonathan Ward, going out on the last squad of the day, knew what he had to do and held his nerve throughout to finish on 82 and claim the Surrey Championship.

Doug Millard beat Roy Forester to the Veteran’s title, storming home with 24 on the final skeet layout. The one that got away eh Doug?
