2008 South East Region Intercounties Olympic Skeet Championship
Southend Gun Club Sunday 20th July 2008 Southend Gun Club were hosts to this years Olympic Skeet Inter Counties Championship on Sunday 20th July. There were seven full squads which was a great turn out for an unpopular discipline, the weather was sunny but breezy which made it difficult but interesting. Essex once again taking the honourd with a credible 447/500 with Ivan Marzocchi from Essex finishing with 50 straight the only two of the day, followed by Berkshire their second year in he SE Region with 419/500 and Greater London coming 3rd with 411/500. David Bond from Essex was Champion with 94/100 a great return to O/S. he has been greatly missed; I hope we see more of him in the future. Ladies Champion was Alison Nicol from Hertfordshire with 70/100, Junior Champion was Guy Franklin from Sussex with 90/100, Colt Champion was Charles Davidmann from Oxfordshire with 78/100 and Veteran Champion was Barry Dobbs from Essex with 80/100.
