Surrey Single Barrel DTL Championship NCSC Bisley 12th July 2008 Double for the Fox Following his success at the DTL Championship in June, Roger Fox kept up his momentum and secured a unique double by winning the Surrey Single Barrel DTL Championship at the NCSC at Bisley on 12 July. However Roger didn't have it all his way this time. He was very closely challenged by John Barbour who matched scores with Roger after the third round. This set up a thrilling finale which resulted in Roger shooting an excellent 25 straight beating John by just one shot. This result also landed Roger the Veterans title on the day. The nearest challengers for third place were Jack Tucker and James Coffey who both scored well throughout the day. They matched each other shot for shot in rounds 2, 3and 4 but Jack took third place and the Colts title by winning the first round by one clear shot. Unfortunately there were no lady entrants. Following his first ever Junior title last month, Sam Coffey maintained his winning streak by collecting his second Junior title in a row. Both Sam and Jack collected their winner's medals after the event. Roger will be presented with his trophy at next years AGM.
